Champions League Preview: Liverpool Host Rangers in Battle of Britain, Chelsea Face AC Milan and Bank on Erling Haaland to Run Riot

The UEFA Champions League fixtures are coming thick and fast as the European club season tries its best to stuff as many fixtures in as possible before the upcoming World Cup finals break.

We are now halfway through the group stages, and on the whole, English teams are performing well, and with any luck, your Champions League betting plans are going according to plan.

AC Milan vs Chelsea

Tuesday 11th October - 20:00

Graham Potter is taking to life well at Stamford Bridge, with the former Brighton man winning three and drawing one of his first four games in charge of the Blues. A trip to face Serie A title holders AC Milan would usually lead to a great deal of anxiety, but in truth, the West London side may feel they can get something from their visit to the San Siro.

They eased past the Italian giants at home, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Reece James, and if you are a Chelsea fan looking to back your team, then a bet on a win in Italy wouldn’t be amiss.

With Grosvenor Sports, you can get a healthy 3/1 on Chelsea winning and AC Milan not scoring.

FC Copenhagen vs Man City

Tuesday 11th October - 17:45

Pep Guardiola’s side may look very comfortable in Premier League action, but when they play in the Champions League, they look even more unstoppable. They’ve secured nine points from their first three games, scoring 11 and conceding just once.

Erling Haaland has scored five times and grabbed a brace when FC Copenhagen were thumped 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium, and you can expect the Norwegian to do some more damage as City travel to the Danish capital.

Why not back Man City to repeat that 5-0 scoreline? You’ll get 12/1 with BoyleSports on such an eventuality.

Rangers vs Liverpool

Wednesday 12th October - 20:00

Liverpool look out of sorts, and Jurgen Klopp has some thinking to do. Does he stick with some of his underperforming stars or drop them for this big encounter against Rangers at Ibrox?

Mohamed Salah was shockingly poor against Arsenal and was rightly subbed while Trent Alexander Arnold suffered a similar fate (albeit he may have had a slight injury), and this may be the ideal time for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side to host the Anfield side.

You can get a very tempting 7/1 on Rangers beating Liverpool with BoyleSports, and that looks pretty generous, given they are at home and have an excellent record on their own turf (winning all five of their domestic league matches).

Tottenham vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Wednesday 12th October - 20:00

This could be a crucial game when it comes to who will make it out of Group D, with Sporting Lisbon currently leading the way with six points and both Tottenham and Eintracht Frankfurt sitting on four.

The two teams drew last time out when they faced each other in Germany, and Antonio Conte needs to secure all three points if they want to maximise their chances of securing a berth in the knockout stages.

Goals have been hard to come back in Europe; the North London side has managed just two from three games (both from Brazilian forward Richarlison). BoyleSports are offering a great price boost for the game; you can get 2/1 on Tottenham winning 1-0, 2–0 or 2-1.

Elsewhere…

Celtic take on RB Leipzig, and the Bhoys know that anything less than a win may well end their hopes of not only Champions League football but also Europa League action too.

Outside of games involving British teams, there are other exciting clashes to look out for when it comes to possible football bets. PSG host Benfica as the top two in Group H fight it out for dominance.

Holders Real Madrid travels to Warsaw to take on Shakhtar Donetsk, knowing a win will secure qualification for the knockout stages. Barcelona hosts Inter Milan and can’t afford to lose; otherwise, they may well find themselves dropping into the Europa League.
